2018 Pony League Group
Giddy-Up!
The 2018 bowling season saw the inaugural year of our Club's Pony League. This non-competitive program is designed to offer First, Second, and Third year bowlers, the opportunity to improve their skills, learn other positions of play, and understand the rules of the game in a friendly, supportive environment.
The Pony League met one evening a week; each session began with a short introduction from Head Coach, Brian, when he focused on an aspect of the game; participants then - with the support of many club volunteers - proceeded onto the green to hone their knowledge and skills; each evening ended with a short wrap-up. The final session of the 2018 year ended with a Pizza celebration; well done everyone. Following are a few comments from some of the participants ...
A super learning experience; as a first-year bowler the instruction was great and it was fun too!
I'm a second-year bowler and found the individual coaching, along with the opportunity to play various positions, has been instrumental in improving my game.
As a third-year bowler, I learned a great deal - but even more, enjoyed the comradeship that developed between the players.
GREAT FUN - GREAT PEOPLE - LEARNED A LOT - ENJOYED THE COMRADESHIP.
